Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Soundlink handles personal information when you visit the service, create an account, publish a page or make a purchase.
Last updated: 21 August 2026
1. Who we are
Soundlink.me operates the Soundlink service and is the controller of personal information processed to provide and administer the platform. Contact us at privacy@soundlink.me.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, encrypted password credentials, account status and sign-in activity.
- Profile and content information: artist or business name, biography, images, links, releases, social profiles, products and tour information you submit.
- Usage information: page views and link clicks, the selected service or platform, time of the event and coarse country information supplied by our hosting network. Soundlink’s current analytics do not store visitors’ IP addresses.
- Order information: customer name, email, delivery address, items purchased, payment status and transaction references. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by Soundlink.
- Communications: information included when you contact us or request support.
3. How and why we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, publish and operate Soundlink pages, process orders, provide support, measure aggregate use, improve the service, prevent misuse, meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.
Our lawful bases are performance of our contract with account holders and customers, our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving Soundlink, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where we specifically ask for it. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
4. Who receives information
We share information only as needed with service providers supporting hosting, databases, file storage, authentication, communications and payments; with artists or sellers responsible for fulfilling an order; with professional advisers; or with authorities where legally required. Stripe processes payment and fraud-prevention information under its own privacy terms. Links to music services and other external sites take you to services with their own privacy practices.
5. International transfers
Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use an adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards and assess the protection available for the information.
6. Retention
We keep account and profile information while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards where needed for recovery, disputes or legal obligations. Transaction records are normally retained for up to seven years for tax and accounting purposes. Security and analytics records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for their stated purposes. Information is then deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal information. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. Contact us first if you can, so we have an opportunity to resolve your concern.
8. Security and children
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Soundlink is not directed at children under 13. Anyone under 18 should use the service only with permission from a parent or guardian where required.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as Soundlink changes. We will publish the revised version here and provide additional notice where a change materially affects your rights.
